res scrolls being like rebirth?
as the title says... asks
is a res scroll as effective as rebirth (skill), meaning you can use them for dunes of despair exploring? i'd like to know, so i dont need to use skills, and can instead use my rusty/dusty res scrolls when needed |

Does the part where it says within earshot missed by you ?
Depending on how earshot works it doesnt leave much of an area you have to be within to use - and im sure that anet learned their mistakes ages ago when you could teleport thru walls and made sure you cannot be res thru walls . |

but thats with rebirth, and i saw some shadow step skills which couldnt do the same at other places, with similar cliffs now all i wanna know is: can res scrolls do the same as rebirth in missions like that one? i dont remember what skills couldnt get you over such cliff, but i'm sure there were other ways to get where these shadow step skills couldnt bring me is it so hard to just answer this? it could be like that/those shadow step skill(s) and not work, or act like rebirth and work..... i'm just asking this, thats all |

There is only two skills that can get you over the gulley, the necro skills Necrotic Traversal and Consume Corpse. First you need to agro a scarb then use the skill to get to the corpse, there are a few good spots, right next to the bonus bridge and around the corner on the left. The skill can be used by a hero. And yes, a res scroll will bring the bodies to you over the gulley.

Doesn't look like anyone is going to actually answer your question, Ayuhmii. Best option is to just try it and see, I would have thought.
Markaedw is right in that going /N and taking Necrotic Traversal is the usual method - if your entire party is human and they all go /N then it's doable. Otherwise just you and the magically teleporting heroes. I love that glitch

I imagine that a scroll would work. The mechanic you're after is "Teleport", not "Shadow Step". I belive that Scrolls, Rebirth, UA, Nec Trav, and CCorpse all do that.
Although it's easy enough to bring a necro/monk hero to do it for you. I did. |

The necromancer skills, rebirth, UA, and res scrolls are teleports and not shadow steps. They do not require autopathing, and as such, they will function through impassable terrain.
Do note a few things with the resurrection effects. Scrolls have a marginally smaller range, and scrolls resurrect, and then teleport the target(s). As a result of the latter, if someone is in aggro range when you use a scroll on them, they will resurrect with aggro, whereas this is not the case with rebirth and UA. In short, yes, you can do the classic bow the boss/scarab NT down and simply scroll everyone across. UA and rebirth are not necessary to complete this. |
